Summary:
As she nears her hundredth birthday, Roseanne McNulty, a patient at Roscommon Regional Mental Hospital, begins to record the events of her life in a manuscript she keeps hidden under the floorboards of her bedroom. The hospital is scheduled to be closed in a few months and Dr. Grene, Roseanne's caretaker, is asked to evaluate if she can return to society. During his research, the doctor discovers a document written by a local priest that tells a life story different than the one Roseanne recalls. Long-buried secrets are uncovered as doctor and patient attempt to understand one another.
